To make a dial-up connection by using X.25

  1. Open Network Connections.
  2. Double-click New Connection Wizard, and then click Next.
  3. In Network Connection Type, click Connect to the Internet or Connect to the network at my workplace, and then click Next.
  4. In Network Connection, click Connect using a dial-up modem or Dial-up connection, and then click Next.
  5. Follow the instructions in the New Connection wizard.
  6. When the wizard is finished, right-click the new connection, and then click Properties.
  7. On the Options tab, click X.25.
  8. In Network, click your X.25 network provider.
  9. In X.121 address, type the X.121 address (the X.25 equivalent of a phone number) for the server you want to call.
  10. If required by the X.25 host computer, in User Data, type additional connection information.
  11. In Facilities, type any additional facility options you want to request from your X.25 provider. (For example, some providers support the /r option to specify reverse charging.)
